Hi, I’m Claire…..

I’m a proud Scot working with leaders, teams and organisations from London and across the South East to build healthy, high-performing workplaces where people can do their best work.

I’m the Founder of Soutar Solutions, providing strategic HR, leadership, and learning & development services to organisations of all sizes. I partner with leaders who want experienced strategic people guidance without the cost of a full-time HR Director, supporting them with people strategy, culture, organisational development, and building strong, sustainable teams.

FCIPD-qualified, with over 20 years’ experience, I began my career as a Senior HR Business Partner within a Global Communications Agency, leading HR across APAC and EMEA. I then moved to a newly created Head of HR role in a Financial Services organisation, setting up the HR function and implementing organisation-wide people strategies.

Alongside my consultancy work, I am an ILM Level 7 Executive Coach and Insights Discovery Practitioner, delivering coaching, leadership development programmes, and Insights workshops that help teams communicate better, collaborate effectively, and perform at their best.

My approach is honest, pragmatic, curious, and fun! I get to the heart of any business issue and deliver practical, actionable solutions.

I’ve been fortunate to work with leaders and teams across multiple sectors including FMCG, communications, financial services, charity, and recruitment, and with clients such as Asahi, HUC Healthcare, L’Oréal, Axon, Volvo, and THE·TEAM.

I’m passionate about helping people and organisations reach their full potential, creating workplaces where individuals, teams, and businesses can truly thrive.
